Writing Asignment

5th February

Dear Room 3

I’ve lived in Te Awamutu for my entire life, and have never moved houses. I was born in Te Awamutu at the Matariki hospital.  I have three older siblings, but they’re much older than me and have their own lifes, nor have been present in our house. My only brother is Rupert and he owns a business in Auckland, the youngest sister is Flora and works in international college in London (UK). With the final sibling is Rachel with her being a banker that works from Tauranga.

I have one pet at the present time which is a Border Collie dog which we got from the Tokoroa pound.  He’s two years old and is extremely sociable, but unfortunately we had our two year old cat called patches died a few weeks before school started. She died with her being hung by the garage door.

While I take part in a few hobbies in my spare time, I play Football for the Te Awamutu Football Club/TAFC with me being in the team called Thunder. Though since Football is a winter sport I’m playing Futsal for summer.  I’m a part of the Te Awamutu Scout Group with me being in the Scout age group. I’m a Patrol Leader in my age group and control a whole patrol of about 7 people approximately this year. I play on a Xbox 1 when I have nothing to do and play with friends from this year and last year.

My primary school which was Te Awamutu Primary School had some more unique opportunities inside of there which the intermediate lacks.  As an example the radio station which was a excellent place to speak publicly to the school in interviews and other events in the school.  There is a lack in public speaking in the Intermediate apart from Midyear speeches. I hope this year I could take up a public speaking opportunity in the Intermediate.

I enjoy Maths, Writing and Reading in school with the challenge of room three adding to the difficulty and at the increased rate of learning.  Last year I regret not taking up more opportunities in school and will try to take part in more out of class activities in 2018. I’m enjoying and looking forward to a year of learning.

Sincerely
Alex
