Holocaust Poetry
Happily living the dream life
Suddenly tension grows
Targets are laid
Pointless burning of belongings
Captured only for our race and for our beliefs
Given a star that deprives us
Sent far away to ghettos
With no hope coming into the ghetto
We’re crammed in with a deprivation
Slowly one by one we disappear
Into the dark gas chambers were light never shines
How did it end up this way
Rise of evil
The final solution
The dreaded rise of the Nazi party
Death of millions
Camps solely made to kill and exploit us by working
Out there is hope
Fields of men fighting for our freedom
People's lives being taken for our freedom
Innocent germans being forced to do commit atrocities
Stories of rescuers arise
Hope is reignited
Allied forces move in for our freedom
Firefights leave our towns in pieces
Innocent bystanders killed
Liberation at long last
But the damage has already been done...
